Tonic amar, stimulent al sistemului nervos, stimulent al secreţiilor gastrice şi biliare, vermifug.

Peste 3 linguri de rǎdǎcinǎ mǎrunţitǎ se toarnǎ alcool de 70° atât cât sǎ o acopere. Se lasǎ la macerat 24 de ore în vas închis. Dupǎ acest interval se toarnǎ 1 litru vin curat (negru), se închide vasul şi se lasǎ la macerat 10 zile. Lichidul obţinut se strecoarǎ printr-o pânzǎ groasǎ, se combinǎ cu 200 g zahǎr, se închide sticla şi se pǎstreazǎ la loc rǎcoros. Adulţi – o lingurǎ de trei ori pe zi cu ½ orǎ înainte de masǎ, iar copiii câte o linguriţǎ. Se agitǎ înainte de întrebuinţare.

Pour 70° alcohol over 3 spoons of crushed roots , as much as it needs just to cover it. Let it macerate for 24 hours in a closed jar. After that , pour 1 liter of clean black wine, close the jar and let it macerate for 10 days. The resulting liquid will be filtered trough a thick tissue and combined with 200 grams of sugar. The corked bottle will be kept in a cool place. The dose for adults is a spoon, three times a day, a half of hour before the meals and for children a teaspoon, same way. You must shake it before using.
